BERNADETTE THE BRAVE is a 5 minute dramedy web series about a young woman forced by job loss from the cocoon of the rural central valley into the big city where a bevy of uplifting women help her learn to overcome her fears one episode at a time. BERNADETTE the character has the ambition of Mary Richards from MARY TYLER MOORE, the curiosity of Ann Marie from THAT GIRL, and the propensity for mishap of Lucy Ricardo in I LOVE LUCY.
The project passes the Bechdal Test, with themes of body positivity, mental health, shedding emotional baggage and finding courage to step out of one’s comfort zone. The show will strive to be relatable to the fears most women face in a funny and uplifting way.
